Very small The Works haul.

Hiya!! I was running some errands and I discovered that The Works opened a store in my area!!

I had no idea. I haven't been in the area for ages, in fact the same day, I went to get some hair gel from my local hair shop (or beauty supply store) and the lady asked me if I had moved away from the area since she hadn't seen me for so long lol.

I'm not even sure when The Works store opened here but I'm more than pleased that they did. I always love popping in the store when I am in an area where one is which is not often at all and I love their craft, art and kiddie bits. I do like their books also and the prices at The Works are really good.

I was with my youngest and he was in awe of all the goodies and my haul was for both of us.

I picked up a leaf die set (£4)and coffee clear stamp set (£1) for myself I will be picking a few more stamp sets over the next few weeks as they look really nice and are just £1.

Little man chose some slime (£2) and a notebook (£2) - such a lovely sentiment on the cover.

I also picked up a super balloon and pump set that was on offer (£4 instead of £6) it's supposed to fill balloons with water - and can be used for just air too - quickly and easily. I got it for us all to use for summer and occasions.
I'm interested to see how well it works and will check back in with a review.

So that was it really. Just a few items as I am on a bit of a tight budget at the moment but I have some great plans for the dies and stamps as part of my getting back into stamping.

What's your fave items to get from The Works?

See you soon.

Revolution Beauty Haul

Hiya,

I purchased a few items in the after Christmas\ New year (yep that long ago 😊) sale on the Revolution Beauty website.

I love there items and had my eye on a few bits before Christmas so was soooo happy that they were included in the sale.
I actually had two hauls as I received an email about further sale prices for a couple bits that I just had to get lol.
It ended up that the email and website was showing two different prices but they graciously allowed me to purchase at email price. So good of them.

Enjoy the haul video xxx

Dairy and Meat Free Whole Foods Haul

Hiya!!

Another quick video post 😳 I’ll do a “real” post very soon 🙈

I did a small shop to pick up some Dairy and Meat Free goodies from While Foods and also a little taste test.

Dairy Free can be hard at tones as milk is in soooo many items, even those that you wouldn’t even expect them to be in.

I’ll be doing more dairy and meat free videos as I do get quite a few questions about this, hopefully I can share recipes and tips.

Thanks for watching xxx

Hiya!!! I posted another Budget Buys video. This time showing affordable Makeup Brushes.

Brushes can be pricey so I share some that can be purchased from Amazon, EBay and Aliexpress as well as other places that sell goods for bargain prices.

I was privileged to receive many to try and I also purchased a few.

I can’t wait to play with the brushes as they look and feel lovely.

New Budget Buys Series

Hiya!. I hope you are all well and enjoying your week so far, I have started a new Series called "Budget Buys"
Hair, Beauty and even household items can be quite costly so I am always looking for ways to save pennies.
I'll be sharing my favourite budget items, brands, hacks, tips etc. and looking for new ones too.

For the Series I thought I would visit a few low cost shops and get some items to make a DIY Subscription Box. I love watching subscription box unboxings and reviews and also reading about them on blogs, forums etc but they can be quite expensive and many don't seem like great value if I'm honest so I thought it would be fun to do my own.
This time around I went to Poundland and picked up a variety of items.

Please let me know if you have any ideas, tips, suggestions or even any brands you would like me to try.

Thanks for watching xxx

Unboxing - Mally Urban Chic Collection.

Hi!! I picked up the Mally Urban Chic Collection before Christmas for a Christmas present and finally got around to filming the unboxing.
It's been ages since I recorded anything much less uploaded and I'm very thankful to those who gently prodded requested some new videos.
I have sooooo many isms that keep me from uploading but I'm getting better at quieting the negativity and getting on with things.

I love Mally and her make up items so when I saw the collection at a special price I had to get it.
The items included are:
  • Face Defender Boost in Universal Bronze.
  • 1 x Volumizing Mascara in Black
  • 1 x Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner in Sailor
  • 1 x Evercolor Shadow Stick Extra in Over The Taupe
  • 1 x H3 Gel Lipstick in Orchid
  • 1 x Strobe Cream
The kit looks absolutely fab, I can't wait to play with it.

More Bantu Knots and I caved.

I decided to keep my bantu knots in yeaterday instead of taking them down and styling my hair. Truth be told I'm in a Blah mood at the moment and I didn't want to bother with my hair.
I wasn't going anywhere anyway so I oiled my scalp and tied a pretty scarf into a baduesque wrap.

When I got ready for bed, I lightly spritzed my hair with Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist and oiled the parts with Hairlicious (whoooop challenge going strong) Put my scarf and bonnet on and wow, shortest hair night routine in ages.

This morning I took the Bantu Knots out and my hair was lovely, soft and the curls were springy. Leaving the Bantu's in for a day had allowed my hair to completely dry and the results were fab.

I tried to take photos but they didn't come out that well as the day was somewhat overcast and the flash just made the pics black (why does that happen anyway?)
Here they are anyway:

Biiiigggg curly fro
Close up

I loved the way the front curls looked so I decided to leave two at the front and put the rest into a tight top puff. Wowwww I LOVED the curly puff. I gently scrunched the puff with some Aunt Jackies Don't Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Curling Gel {love this stuff}

So although I would rather be in a better mood the I am glad I left the bantu's to do their thing.

Ok so let's address the caving issue. I made a scheduling mistake and thought something that is actually next week was taking place today. I was already at the meeting point when I phoned my friend and she told me of my mistake - oh how we laughed *blush* - I had some time to kill while I waited for hubby to come back on his way home and decided to have a little browse in the hair shop in the area.
I forgot how BIG and how much STUFF they have. I had a good look at the hair and saw somw with a big *special offer* sign so will revisit to buy some for my next protective styling challenge (yes I love challenges, don't judge me lol).
I then went to look at the hair products and was like a kid in a candy factory!! My three fave edge tamers/controlers have finished and my Aunt Jackies will soon be finished so I decided to buy an Eco Styler gel and Curls Pasionfruit Control Paste to replace the ones that have gone walkies. They didn't have the Control Paste but I managed to pick up the Eco, I got a small tub of the clear one to have a try. I didn't want to buy the argon one as that's the missing one and I'm half hoping it will turn up soon.
Then I had the bright idea to have a look at the Shea Moisture goodies. You have to understand that anytime I'm in the hair shop I drool over the Shea Moisture products, looking, awwing and walking by so it wasn't strange for me to do it this time... and whooooopppp there was a *special Offer* sign on there too!! £3 cheaper than anywhere I've seen. Still alot pricier than my regular products but much more attainable.... the Coconut and Hibiscus Curling Enhancing Smoothie hop, skipped and jumped into my hands and before I knew it I was sitting in the car opening the jar and smilling!!

Yep I caved and I can't wait to try it. I don't know whether to wait till I wash my hair or dive in tonight... I do like to wait till wash day to try out new products so my hair is fresh and like a clean canvass IYSWIM hmmmmmm I don't know if I can wait, maybe I'll bring wash day forward??
