Remeber me?? and This week's Family Dinner Plan.

Ahemmm remember me?? well I can just about remember me!! I have been lost for a while but I'm trying to get my life back!! ((Dramatic much??))

I am making an effort to get back to me.... well maybe not back to me... there's lots of tings that I would rather not get back to but, I want to maybe become the me that I want to be.... so more get to me than back to me but the sentiment still stands lol!!

I am trying to be more organised, to find joy in things... both things I used to find joy in and also new things. I used to love blogging... both posting and reading other blogs.

I used to love posting videos and crafting and all kinds of things that I no longer do.... I am in a place I don't like.... I have been ill - both physically and emotionally for soooo long, I have low energy... low motivation and just lowness ((Is that a word??))

Soooooo with all that doom and gloom aside, I am making a start with the blogging lol... so erm... hi!!

I have been doing dinner plans at home and it really helps me be motivated, inspired and also on the days when life is a struggle, I have dinner planned out and ingredients already in .... it really does help.

i introduced themed weeks which

The last week has been a struggle even to get the motivation to cook and it's been a chore...(the cooking part isn't bad.. it's the getting to the kitchen to start) soooo..... I thought posting the meal plans would help keep me motivated in both posting and cooking!!

As I am plant based I really just plan food I'm cooking for the family. I will have the carb/starch and add veggies or salad to it.

This weeks Dinners:

Monday - Meatball Pasta Bake

Tuesday - Tuna and Rice (will decide if I'll do cold (tuna mayo) or hot (tomato tuna)

Wednesday - Chicken Curry, Naan Bread and samosas

Thursday - Jacket Potatoes with Chilli and cheese

Friday - Paella

Sayurday - Korean Style Chicken Wings and chips

Sunday - Roasted Salmon and new Potatoes with Green beans.

I used this list to place my online grocery shop so that was helpful too (😊)

Thanks for stopping by x-x

Dairy and Meat Free Whole Foods Haul

Hiya!!

Another quick video post 😳 I’ll do a “real” post very soon 🙈

I did a small shop to pick up some Dairy and Meat Free goodies from While Foods and also a little taste test.

Dairy Free can be hard at tones as milk is in soooo many items, even those that you wouldn’t even expect them to be in.

I’ll be doing more dairy and meat free videos as I do get quite a few questions about this, hopefully I can share recipes and tips.

Thanks for watching xxx

Trying out smoothies - Getting over the texture

Hiya!! I hope you are having a great week so far, my week didn't get off to the best start but I'm determined to change the way I react to "struggles" I may not be able to control things that happen or the way people behave or what they say.... but I can control the way I react... the way I internalise things and my actions.

With all that being said, I am pushing through and getting on with things, focusing on my goals and doing better rather than focusing on the grrrr things.

For the longest of time people have been recommending smoothies to me as a way to help get healthier and even lose weight, I tried it out a couple years ago and couldn't get past the textures (bleughhh) all the bits and... (bleughhh) even the thought is making me squirm.
I couldn't bring myself to make myself anymore. I made some for the boys and hubby and they went down really well but not for me, no way.
I like some of the ready made smoothies in the shops, the Naked blue or green ones are delish but they are quite expensive and as I continued to drop certain food items and limit the intake of others they became too sweet for me anyway.

My mummy received a Nutri Ninja (one of the top models) for Christmas from her hubby (Hi both of you 😘 ) and since then has been making smoothies everyday, this from someone who didn't really eat fruits and such like that. I was tempted to try one but the thought of the bits just put me off..... I was at her home last month and she made convinced me to taste one of hers and it wasn't bad at all, it was quite smooth... still too much texture for me but promising.

Forward to last week, I found a new youtube channel with a Jamaican chef and he made 3 smoothies in his ninja.... they looked soooo good and I made up my mind to give smoothies a try as part of my weight loss refresh/ boost.

I purchased some fruit and veggies and built up the courage (it took over a week...) I picked up some fresh strawberries on Monday and yesterday was the day.

I chose Pineapple, Banana, Strawberry and Spinach, placed them in my Ninja cup, added a little Honey,  Vanilla Extract, Ice and some Coconut Dream that hubby bought me to try (thanks babe 😘)

I let the Ninja do its thing and then blended again.... and again..... and once more lol, I wanted to get it as smooth as possible.

When it was to my liking I stopped blending, added some more ice and put the lid onto the cup (I realised it was the mixing cup not the serving one but why dirty another cup lol) and popped in one of my plastic straws.

The smoothie was actually smooth!! whoooppp whoopppp!! I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't completely smooth and I had to force the bleurgh reaction away but it was really nice. I may blend a little extra next time, I contemplated sieving the smoothie but I wanted all the goodness.
I may have put in a little too much spinach as the taste of it was very strong but as I had a lot of sweet fruits I wanted to balance it out a little.

The Coconut Dream gave it a creamy taste and also added to the flavour. I am glad I chose that instead of almond milk which I was going to use at first. All in all it was a positive experience lol.

I drank it during the day and that in itself stopped me from reaching for snacks and I was quite full all afternoon until evening.
I will definitely be having smoothies more often and incorporating them into my Healthier Lifestyle goals.

Please let me know if you have any smoothie recipes for me to try.

Fun With Baking {Betty Crocker} - Our Package and trying the Cookie Mix

I was very happy to receive our package for the Betty Crocker Fun With Baking campaign.

The boys too were very excited and couldn't wait to get baking. Half Term was coming up the next week and the package came at just the right time.
Although I bake from scratch, I used to have so much fun using packet/box mixes and I knew that the boys would find it really fun to make goodies using a mix. It would also be quick and simple.

The package arrived and my youngest was so happy, dancing and whooping. The other two in age were also happy and the three of them unpacked the box with great interest (the older two were busy doing other stuff - teenagers lol)

The box contained:
• 1x Vanilla Icing
• 1x Velvety Vanilla Cake Mix
• 1x Chocolate Chip Cookies Pouch
• 1x Chocolate Fudge Brownies
• 5x Betty Crocker ‘Baking with Kids’ Recipe Cards
• 1x Campaign Guide (12-page)

For us to use and:

• 20x Activity Flyers
(to entertain the kids during the half-term holiday)
• 20x vouchers for £1 off all Betty Crocker products

For me to give away.

The boys decided that they want to bake the cookies first.

I thought I'd add some mini marshmallows and we got baking.

I followed the instructions and placed all the ingredients into our mixing bowl. I let the boys take it in turns to mix.

Next came the forming of the cookies - I chose the ball method and we flattened them slightly with the back of a fork.

I put them in the oven for slightly less than the suggested time as I wanted them to be soft and goey.

The results were indeed soft and goey and quite delicious if we say so ourselves ;)

The boys were very proud of their efforts and enjoyed tasting them, as did the two teenagers who unsurprisingly were no longer too busy - hmmmm

All in all it was a great baking time and the Brownies have been voted to be the next try out. I'll be sure to post when we bake them.

*** Please note that we were fortunate to receive the Betty Crocker package as part of a campaign. As always, my thoughts and opinions are honest and genuine (Not sure what protocol is but thought I'd add this in to keep all in the know xxx)

Review: Matcha Organics - Iced Almond Milk Matcha Latte

Hi everyone I hope you are doing well and enjoying the mild weather as we shift into Autumn.

The weather here is still warm for the most part and I have been enjoying iced beverages. I have been wanting to try Matcha Powder for ages but didn't get round to buying any so when I was asked to review some I jumped at the chance lol. I decided to try an Iced Latte and since I'm still having  dairy intolerance/allergy issues, I made it with some Almond Milk.

I have to admit, when the powder arrived, I was surprised at the size as I had seen big tubs in costco(well it's Costco after all lol) and this was a smallish pouch. I watched the video on their site and the lady explained how potent it was ans also gave some tips on how she liked to use it.

When I made a cup of Matcha Tea, I was actually shocked at the strength!! Potent is the word allright!

With this in mind, I decided to use less powder for my latte.

Ingredients:
Almond Milk - I used Alpro unroasted, unsweetened
Matcha Powder.
Agave.
Dairy Free Creamer - I used Walden Farms Calorie Free
Ice - lot's of it.

Recipe:
Pour some boiling water into a cup, add some Matcha and stir well.
Pour some Almond Milk in (I used it cold so it would cool down the Matcha so my glass didn't shatter when it had the ice in),
Stir, add a little non dairy creamer, stir again,
Place lots of ice into your glass (I used a bottle)  - about three quarters full - and poured the latte on top of the ice (if you are making your own iced beverage, please check temperature of latte as your glass may shatter/break it it's too hot when you pour onto the ice - a lesson I learned a while ago when making iced coffee).
I put a straw into my iced latte ( I love the paper ones) and gave it a stir as it can become watery on top - if you're not using a straw (why not? iced latte tastes so much better with a straw lol) then give it a stir.

 - Enjoy ;)

**Please note this is NOT a sponsored post, I was sent the Matcha Powder to review, it is available    to buy Here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00OJMI0CK

Blogmas: Christmas Eve pt2

Wow!! How is it so late?!

The Gingerbread Cake finished baking and this time round it has cracks in the top, no matter, by the time I cut it into squares it'll be fine.

I made a quick icing to go ontop of the cake when it cools and on some of the cookies too.

I decided to drizzle the icing onto the cake while it was still hot to form a glaze.
It looks very shiny, I'm sure the opaque parts will dry/cool clear.

I washed my hair with my new bits I purchased earlier.
Ugh!!! I need my scalp to behave... NOW!! I was hoping to do a protective style for Christmas and winter in general but as my scalp is playing up its really not worth it.
While the deep conditioner was on my hair I finished off the window sill decors, put the Christmas tree lights on the tree and finished off in the kitchen.

I just finished wrapping the last of the pressies(gahhh why every year last minute?)
Now I'm gonna set my hair in a Wash&Go and let it dry overnight.

Blogmas: Christmas Eve

Whoahh!! Is it really Christmas Eve?! My goodness time is steaming by.

I thought I'd do a little Christmas Eve run-down like I did last year(it won't be as big though as the day's already gone lol)

So far I went out to the shops, picked up the last bits and pieces, last pressie, went to the hair shop quickly as my scalp is still giving me probs(I'll post more about that at a later date)
Came back home bearing goodies for the boys and sat down for a bit.

I went to season the mutton ready for tomorrow and gah!!! No curry powder?! How can I do curry mutton with no curry powder??!! Soooooo off I trodded to the shops but none of the local ones had any and the nearest supermarket (Waitrose) was already shut, so I ended up walking quite a way and thank goodness I saw a Co-op (didn't even know there was one there) and grabbed said curry powder and remembered milk, flour and couple forgotten items lol.

Hubby was outside our house so he kindly picked me up as by then I was pooped and achy, and back home.

Phewwww.....
I finished seasoning the meat and put it in the fridge.

I prepared dinner and afterwards cleared, cleaned and then it was time for the baking.

I made the dough for the Ginger Cookies, rolled into a ball and put it on the fridge to chill.

Next on to the Gingerbread Cake.
I made the batter and its in the oven baking -- wheeeeww

Cleared up the mess, put ingredients away and utensils to soak (I find it easier in the long run if I clear/clean as I go.

Now I'll make some icing to go on top.

Blogmas 2015: Fave Christmas Goodies - Drinks

Its no secret how much I love Christmas. Everything about it just makes my heart sing.

I love "Christmasy" stuff and I know shops and companies can get very grabby during this season but I enjoy many of their offerings. Today I will chat about my fave drinks;

Egnog!! Ohhhhh I know so many people dislike the creamy yellow goodness that is egnog but I really like it. Here in the UK it's not available much and the only version I see is this cheap spiced milkshake carton with a "fake" after taste.
I keep saying I'll try to make some and I may well do this year.....not sure about the raw egg though.

Flavoured Lattes. Starbucks has to be my number one stop for a coffee treat. I don't go often at all. In fact since leaving my job where SB was two doors away, it's normally only a couple times a year and that's during the autumn/Christmas season. I LOVE their Pumkin Spiced, Egnog (surprise lol) and Gingerbread lattes.
I have a tasimo machine in which I make lattes and add my own flavours to save money, or I'll just make a flavoured coffee with my trusty kettle.

Guiness Punch. This isn't exactly a Christmas drink per se but because of all the naughty ingredients I don't have it often at all. I can't even remember the last time I made it, it could well have been last Christmas.

Flavoured Cream Liqueurs. Baileys Original has to be one of if not my fave "strong drink". From a young girl when on special occasions I was given a literal drop to taste to my teen years when I was lets say freer with alcohol it was my go to drink.
It seems to be at Christmas when all the different shops do their own version and add seasonal flavours. Marks and Spencers have gorgeous options like Gingerbread and toffee and pecan. This year they have introduced new ones - Chocolate Yule Log, Sherry Trifle and Tiramisu. I bought the Tiramisu one a few weeks back and it is lovely.
Tesco have a salted caramel one which I have on my list to try.

Mulled Rum Punch. A feww years ago, Marks and Spencers added this yummy addition to their mulled drinks and it was divine. The taste of mulled wine but with the full and warming taste of rum added!! I didn't see it last year in store but I had a bottle or two left over from the great discounted offers the previous year.

Port and Sherry. Much to my hubby's amusement I love a good port. He loves to tease me about loving an "old lady's" drink but I don't care lol. The full bodied drink is on my Christmas list and I use it during the year in cooking and baking. Sherry get's the same treatment both by him and by me but it has to be good quality one (I sound so snobby lol)

mmmmmm just thinking about these drinks is making me thirsty lol, well it's far too late in the night for any of the yummy choices above. It will be some water and bed for me.

Feel free to let me know your fave seasonal drink or even the drinks that are not necesarily seasonal but which you like to partake at this time of the year.

Natural Monday - Cinnamon Oil

It's no secret that I LOVE oils, since starting my hhj and getting rid of hair grease I discovered natural oils to use in my hair. I enjoy making different mixes for myself and others according to different needs and preferences.
I have been hearing about cinnamon oil from a few Dominican bloggers and stores. It's a nightmare finding Dominican hair products here (yes I have ranted before lol) so I decided to make my own - of sorts.
The particular oil I heard about contains alcohol and cinnamon oil with other ingredients depending on the brand. I opted to leave out the alcohol.

I used a mix of some of my fave oils - Avocado, Grapeseed and Almond so my finished oil would be bursting with ceramides, omegas etc - but you can use just one oil. Olive oil or Coconut oil are great if you want to give it a try but I as it's chilly here I didn't want to have to melt it every time I wanted to use it.

I normally infuse my oils cold for a few weeks but I wanted to try a warm infusion this time round so I placed my oils in a small pot and gently heated them over a low-to medium heat.
I took some cinnamon sticks, broke them in half and gently crushed them in my hand and added them to the oil. I also added some ground cinnamon.
I left the pot on the hob for 5 mins and gently swirled the mixture, I turned the heat right down and left the mixture simmering for another 5 or so minutes. The oil was a lovely warm brown colour.

I used coffee filters and poured the oil into a sterilised jar and left it to cool down.

The results was lovely but not as fragrant that I thought it would be, I think i'll try to make a cold infused batch to compare.

The Cinammon Oil can be used on the body...... In the hair..... On your cuticles..... In an oil burner...... added into natural products....... In cooking and baking

"Boosted Hair Oil"
The cinnamon oil can be used as is but I wanted to kick it up a notch to use as a hair growth oil.
I poured some of the oil into my dropper bottle and added a few drops of cinnamon essential oil and star anise.
It smells divine!!! I've been using it at night for a week and have been loving it.

Christmas season baking

I think I must have baked more over the past week than I have for the past few months!

Along with the Christmas Eve baking frenzy I baked some Gingerbread in a star shape for our lovely Church Sister on boxing day, she generously invited us over as we moved into the area. Being a big family it really is humbling and I am always so grateful to be invited over as a family and she fed us too lol, it was scrumptious and we were also well watered. I baked the Gingerbread while I got ready and it was still warm when I handed it to her, she was so surprised and appreciative.

My eldest requested some more Star Ginger Cookies and as I had some more of the left over dough and icing in the fridge I rustled some up on the day after boxing day.
The boys enjoyed them very much, they didn't even notice the wholemeal flour I added lol.

I also had requests for mince pies which I made while the cookies were baking.

We had a bag of carrots left over from our mega veggie shop so I baked a carrot cake on Monday.... hmmm or was it Tuesday? my days have gotten all mixed up with the holidays lol. I used coconut oil and margarine instead of butter and added wholemeal flour too. I am trying to make the goodies healthier than "normal" treats.

All the baking has given me he baking bug again. I think the lack of space and low mood kept it at bay but it's back in droves. I have to be careful though as the baked goods are very tempting and I have a loooong way to go to shift this chub for good. I will continue to swap not so great ingredients for better ones.

Wednesday, 24 December 2014

My phone died lolololol, all the photos and apps. I think the battery is on its way out as it looses its charge very quickly and takes ages to charge up. It wouldn't charge for me to continue blogging on the go so I took pics on hubbys phone.

Spiced Icing mixture for the stars. It was very thick so I used a little water to thin it out but it still wasn't enough, I didn't want the taste to be watery... aha!! My fresh ginger tea was on the side still and as I hadn't sweetened it I used that to make the icing thinner, added to the taste too.

The finished 3D Tree!! My sprinkles could not be found ... anywhere!! They must have got left behind while packing lol so I dusted some M&S Christmas Spice over the icing instead. I must say I am happy with it. The results are just as nice as the illustration on the box of cutters, different but nice. The company zoomed their pic so their stars look bigger. I tweaked their recipe as theirs was for plain cookies and I wanted Spiced Ginger. I also had to add quite a bit more flour to get the dough how I liked it.

At least I know it looks like a tree as the youngest is enthralled with it, the first thing he said when he saw it was "CHrismas tree!!" lol, he climbed on his step and kept looking at it, pointing and trying to touch it. He's slightly confused though and kept asking me "where stars gone" till I explained that the stars turned into the tree haaaaaaa bless him.

I decided to put some of the tree icing on the Gingerbread too. I just need to leave it to cool and harden before I cut it into squares - I need to buy a new rectangle or square tin, probably siliccone. I had to make use with my circle one.

My Poundland Cake/Cupcake stand is being put to good use, Star Cookie on top tier, Round ones in the middle and the bottom row left for the either the Gingerbread or the Brownies, Ooooo or maybe a mixture of the two... festive lolol.

I had a break in the baking frenzy to make and serve dinner.
After clearing away the dinner stuff I made the Brownies but I was so busy chatting to hubby that I put it into my big pan instead of my tree and snowflake ones... bahhh was funny though, hubby wasn't even sympathetic and couldn't see what the big fuss was, he said the boys wont care and if it bothered me I could make more lol.

I tidied up a little while the brownies baked. I left them to cool and will cut it up in the morning.
I was sooooooo tired. Just time to season the meats for tomorrow:

Bathroom time and then flexirod my hair, then sleep.... need to get a good rest ready for the Christmas cooking lol.

I hope you all had a great Christmas Eve, and all the prep work if any went smoothly.

Phewwwww hundreds of stars done, I had lots of dough left over and kept miss counting - even with my tally list *roll eyes* - so I just made extras.

Still more left over so I decided to do round ones and use my cookie stamp.

My helper loved the stamp

I STILL have more dough left over haaaaaa. I'll leave it in the fridge for in the week or maybe freeze it for later use.
Dohhhhh this was left as a draft!!

First batch of stars done...... And a casualty lololol

Hubby came home from work, liked the yummy smells coming from the oven and my new protective hair style lol.

I used the raw ginger scraps to make some ginger tea to sip while I bake.

Gingerbread done and ready for the oven!!

Gahhhh!!! I forgot to put the oven on!!!!

Oooooopppps! I'll tidy the table wile it heats up

Dough separated into four, while it cools I'll stick with the ginger theme and make some Gingerbread Squares.

I have aquired two helpers 😄

Blogmas with DOASAHM - Day 11

Today's Blogmas is about. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Menu's

Hmmmmm For Christmas Eve I really don';t know what we'll be having. Maybe Cottage Pie. Or Spaghetti Bolonaise. Something quick and easy as I will be conserving my cooking energy for Christmas Day.
We will for sure be having Hot drinks at midnight and I'll give the boys Hot Drink Treat Bags to make their own..... OOooooo we can have it on our Dining Table for the first time!! Whooooop.

Now onto Christmas Day!! This year I plan on Roasting a Duck Crown for our roast and will have fluffy Roast Potatoes with it. I'll also roast some Parsnips and Carrots and glaze them with honey.
Some sort of Stuffing will have to be made and maybe some Macaroni Cheese.
I will serve some Veggies either Petit Pois and Baby Carrots or a mixed veg dish.
I'm hoping Mummy and Hubby can come over and if they do I will treat them to Curry Goat and Rice and Peas but if they don't plan to have dinner I won't cook the curry but if the boys and hubster want the rice and peas I'll put a pot on.

Desert will be the 3D Christmas Tree Cookies or thinking about it. I may do a Triffle and have the cookies on Boxing day.

With all that being said I am deffo looking forward to the whole Shopping, Preping andd Cooking Christmas Dinner.

Blogmas with DOSAHM - Day 10

Haaaaaa I read Sandra's Post and I am soooo glad I'm not the only one that had a giggle.
Ok I may be just a little .... childlike but hey, who wants to grow up?!

It's fair to say I have had the odd fight or two... or ten with my sweet tooth over the years but I love to bake Cookies at Christmas and as I am doing the prep work I can add as much or as little  goodies that I choose.

The boys love to help and it's nice to spend some baking time with them. I am a cookie cutter hoarder collector but my fave has to be gingerbread shapes. The obligatory Gingerbread man but also the little Gingerkiddies and the Gingerlady all pretty with her dress.

I have to admit I love looking at cookies from all different countries but it has to be said the US wins hands down.... Just thinking about them is enough to put myself on the naughty list and partake in some sugary goodness.

This year I plan to bake/make the following treats again and maybe have a go at something new too.

Giant Chocolate Chunk Shortbread

I will be deffo be making shortbread but instead of the heart tin, I will be using my Star one. I may well do smaller ones too.

Blueberry Crumble Bars

These Blueberry Crumble bars went down a treat, I'm contemplating trying them with mincemeat instead to give them a Christmasey Twist.

Chocolate Covered Oreos

I haven't made these in over a year so plan to treat the family to a few of these morsels of delishiousness but I will only make a small amount as they are very moreish lol. I don't really eat chocolate any more so I will be fine but the boys - and the hubster have been known to sneak a cookie or two. I'm thinking of doing some with coconut oil chocolate and see how they come out. Sugar has made it a point to put me on her enemy list and attacks when I'm least expecting.

I Purchased a 3D Christmas Tree Cookie set in the sales a while back and will be trying it out this year, we can have it for desert on Christmas day.. just wondering whether to do them in Gingerbread or Sugar Cookie...... decisions.... maybe I'll do both.

Catch Up - Birthday Treat

My Lovely Hubby took me away for a weekend break in Richmond Hill

We had a relaxing, stress free.... kiddie free .... Romantic time.

The hotel itself was lovely, set out like a stately home, The room was big, airy and had a seperate vanity area - ooooo lol
The bathroom was spacious and shower invigorating.

Dinner was Booked for the Friday at Annayas in Canary Wharf.
Absolutely delicious.  West Indian cuisine presented with finesse. We both had cocktails... mine was Blue Lagoon, Adj had Strawberry and Lemongrass Martini.
The set menu had great variety, I ordered the Lobster Starter - Fresh, tasty and refreshing - Curry Goat Main - oh my the presentation was awesome, the curry was served in a filo pastry shell. The meat was tender and well seasoned, the rice ans peas was lush, the right amount of coconut and the rice grains fluffy and separated to perfection - Rum and Almond Cake Dessert - light and airy sponge, well balanced flavours and not overly sweet. Yummy Scrummy!!
Adj had the Prawn Starter, Curry Goat Main, Banana cake and custard Dessert.

Birthday yummies, my hubby spoiled me.

On our way driving back to the hotel, I recognised Elephant and Castle...... My inner Hair Product Junkie alarm started twinging..... For the last month I had been looking online at Dominican Hair Products.... mainly conditioners -  I had come across the whole silicon mix and kanechom wonder mixture last year but couldnt find Silicon Mix anywhere. Being a fan of Kanechom anyway I had a tub and I saw Nuaat Silicon while looking at the *exotic* hair brands and thought I'd try it in place of silicon mix. I loved the results and have kept it as my staple DC base, changing oils as I feel and also adding different varients of kanechom and/or omitting the organix macadamia mask. - I remember reading a very old forum post about finding Dom Rep Conditioners in London * and it mentioned a Dom Hairdressers in Elephant and Castle....

My lovely Hubby agreed that we could drop in on the way to o2 next day!! yayyyy
Reading the post I found that the Hairdressers had moved to Brixton, I came accross the Dom Rep Alliance where I found some good products and addy for a store that had some of the products in Brixton too..... hooorrraaahhhh - ok so I am a hair product junkie... who says hooorrraaahhhh over some condish??
We went to Hairdressers first as I had my mind set on silicon mix and the Alliance site hasn't got any mention of it. Now in no way am I bad mouthing said Hairdressers but when I entered, I got some strange vibe..... I decided to have a look at counter/shelving unit to see if they had any SM there and the Hairdressers looked at each other and me..... I wasnt sure who worked the desk so made eye contact with one of the hairdressers..... after a weird convo she told me to look at the counter and called someone from out the back. I asked how much the SM condish was... £25..... huh whattt?? £25??? for some condish??? yeah so it was 16oz and "good conditioner" as she so helpfully pointed out but I was not gonna pay £25 for something I'd seen online for way cheaper and wasnt even sure that my hair would love..... gahhhhhh my face fell and hubby looked like he was gonna call shenanigans on the place so I said a polite maybe I'll be back and hot footed it out..... now I had even thought about trying a Dom Blowout but nahhhh not feeling the place nor the inflated prices so pff tot he store that I had addy for.
As it wasnt too far hubby was more than happy... well maybe not happy but not fussed about going there.

Looooong story short the store had a few goodies... after I had explained what I was over- twice and then flashing pic on phone {see that's why I have random hair product pics on my phone.... cant take the blank looks in stores lololol}I was directed to counter as the Dom products are kept behind till.... Ohh! I had to hold off from spending all my hair budget on them, and I wanted to try a leave in too but as I had only factored for condish I had to be on my best budget behaviour and choose one... but wait!! £9.99?? ok so justification sets in... if SM was gonna cost me £25 {ha} I could get 2 of these..... for less..... yea beging if ever I heard it but yah.

I chose La Aplanadora and atrActiva Multivitamin Deep Treatment, never heard anything about the two just trusted instincts.

I can't wait to try them.... like literally want to wash my hair now and try them LOL.
